I am a small business owner from Aydın, Turkey. For over 12 years, I have operated a modest local coffeehouse with hard work and dignity. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic and its lasting economic effects have brought my business to the brink of collapse.

Before the pandemic, everything was stable. I ran my business with honesty and never needed financial aid. But during the long lockdowns, I was forced to close for more than a year. My savings ran out, and I had to take small loans just to reopen and survive. Since then, the economy has never fully recovered, and I have been struggling to keep my doors open.

Adding to this hardship, my mother has been completely bedridden for many years. She suffers from advanced Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, epilepsy, diabetes, hypertension, and kidney failure. I am her only caregiver and cannot work another job orleave her alone, which makes running my business even more difficult.

Throughout this painful journey, I have applied to every possible institution in my country — from government agencies to charities and small business organizations — but received no meaningful help. Some said I did not meet their criteria, others simply never replied.

Now, I am reaching out to the global community for support.

This campaign aims to keep my small business alive and ensure my mother’s care continues with dignity.
